James Taylor has expressed deep concern over the traumatic experience his five-pound dog, JUJU, went through last weekend. Taylor claimed that the dog was bloodied and distressed after a groomer had taped Jujur’s lips shut.
Taylor said, "My pup was clearly in distress. What I first thought was tape turned out not to be a muzzle. Jujur’s paws appeared to be red and inflicted with injuries. The toenails had been cut too near to the paw which probably triggered his biting response."
Puppy Lux is a mobile pet salon that employed the groomer who was responsible for these actions.
James immediately took Juju to the veterinarian for urgent medical attention. In joining other individuals who have also made similar claims, he has accused Puppy lux of animal abuse. San Mateo has launched an investigation to determine if the company is guilty of animal cruelty.
James described his observations, saying "I saw wounds in the genital, neck, and near the joints." The cuts were so deep that they caused blood to flow."
Jack Smithr is a Puppy Lux customer who posted a Yelp Review about his pet being returned injured or ill. Another customer captured a Snapchat video showing a dog in apparent pain, claiming that a groomer had forcefully inserted a napkin into the dog's ear.
Puppy lux wants its customers to understand what their groomer said to him. After all, they trusted this person with the care of their animals. James shared, "Jonny informed me that taping the mouth shut is a normal and acceptable method, claiming it is preferable to using a muzzle, which he believes can be harmful to dogs. He also said he personally used this method on his dog."
Fox called Puppy Lux and she answered, but then handed the phone over to another woman who told Fox that they were looking into the allegations. When asked about Puppylux, animal abuse birds the woman quickly stated that it is a separate entity. Then she abruptly ended her call.
